Melissa Burkley, PhD


Melissa Burkley received her PhD in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has published over thirty scientific articles and book chapters, as well as a textbook. Her work has been featured in New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Esquire, and Men’s Health, as well as the hit TV series Person of Interest. She has also served as a psychological consultant for O, The Oprah Magazine, TIME, Psychology Today, The Globe and Mail, and The Telegraph. She has appeared on various radio shows, including Oprah Radio and Martha Stewart Radio. In her free time, she writes fiction and authors an writer's advice column in Hinnom Magazine.


Edward Burkley, PhD


Ed Burkley received his PhD in psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During his career as a professor, he has produced over twenty scientific publications and has authored a textbook entitled Motivation Science. He has received a number of grants and awards and his innovative research has been featured in the New Scientist Magazine, the APA Monitor, and a number of psychology textbooks.
